The Daisy Walk is designed to bring the community together to share the day with our nations heroes and their families as well as raise funds in support of VSSN’s lifesaving and life-improving supportive services for the millions of veterans and families affected by service-connected mental illness (PTSD, Anxiety and/or Depression) which often results in suicide and/or suicide attempts.

  • Date: TBA  
  • Time:Check in at 7:00 am-12:00 pm, opening bell 8:00 am

Enjoy one or both two routes to include the "Daisy Dedication Route" or the festive "Daisy Walk Street Route".
  • Daisy Dedication Route”

    (4 miles) goes from Meridian Parkway (across from RNC)to the Riverside National Cemetery (RNC) where walkers will meet with a guide (most guides are service connected dignitaries and/or public officials) who will provide an educational tour and walkers can place daisies on memorial walls. After the dedication route, walkers may return to the starting/ending point for lunch, vendor information, etc or choose to continue the walk on the “Daisy Walk Street Route” before returning.

  • “Daisy Walk Street Route” starts in the Meridian Parkway (across from RNC) and leads through the industrial park with checkpoints and festive decor for walkers or cyclists. This walk is just less than 2 miles with 2 circles around.  Walkers can return for lunch or take the “Daisy Dedication Route” .
  • Walkers can join hundreds of JROTC students in cadences, or even make and hold risk factor, preventative factor or resources signs with veterans on the festive route with messages like “family and community support (connectedness)”,  “support from ongoing medical and mental health care relationships”,  or “one call away  VA Veterans Crisis Line” and “Anywhere Anytime VSSN”
  • After the walk participants can enjoy free food from Luna Mediterranean Grill & Red Robin, resources, meet and greets, as well as products and services from vendors.
